External Wall Insulation — Full Specification

A certified external wall insulation system: insulation board mechanically fixed and adhesively bonded to the substrate, reinforced with alkali-resistant mesh embedded in the outer third of a basecoat, then finished with a through-coloured render. Every component comes from one certified system — we do not mix manufacturers, because the certification only covers the system as tested.

1. Pre-site survey, U-value calculation and condensation risk analysis
2. Scaffold erection and sign-off
3. Substrate preparation: stability and pull-off testing, plinth line agreed
4. Boarding: staggered bonding pattern, corners interlocked, fire barriers installed
5. Reveals, sills and services relocated and detailed to the project design
6. Basecoat and mesh, with 100mm laps and diagonal reinforcement at opening corners
7. Finish coat once the basecoat is dry and conditions allow
8. Completion inspection against the NSAI ETICS installer checklist

Render will not cure correctly below 5°C or above 25°C, and needs 24 frost-free hours. We record daily temperatures throughout and will stop rather than apply material in the wrong conditions. This is the main reason an EWI programme can extend — and the main reason a rushed one fails.

Installed under the NSAI ETICS Installer Scheme against the system certificate. You receive the system certificate, the installation checklist recording site conditions at every stage, batch numbers and production dates for traceability, and a hard copy of the installer warranty.
